When it comes to fitting Karndean herringbone, it couldn’t be easier. Depending on the product range, you typically have a choice of a click installation method or a more traditional glue down option. The click system is typically found on Karndean Rigid Core products, with the planks seamlessly clicking and locking together, without the need for messy adhesive. This can be installed over the vast majority of existing subfloors, floorboards or ceramics, but will require an expansion gap. With a glue down product, the tiles or planks are stuck directly to the subfloor, which should be hard, flat, smooth, dry, clean and dust-free prior to the install. This is slightly more time consuming than a Click equivalent, and can be more complicated.
