There are a number of benefits to choosing an oak engineered floor. First and foremost, it’s hard-wearing. Oak has been used as a flooring material for centuries, with some properties still having the original oak flooring it had been fitted with.
Secondly, oak flooring is incredibly versatile. It takes colours and treatments exceptionally well, meaning there are almost endless possibilities. From limed white oak to its natural golden tones, right the way through to darker, coffee and chocolate-like tones, there’s something for everyone.
As a natural product, oak flooring also has a stunning variation and patterns through each and every plank. You can even specify how much of the natural character you want to show, from the clean-cut Prime or A grade through to the CD or Rustic grade.
From a maintenance perspective, it’s reasonably easy to clean oak flooring. Regular sweeping with a soft brush or microfibre mop will help keep it clean and tidy without damaging the wooden floor boards.
For more stubborn stains or spillages, then a well-wrung out mop usually does the trick, or alternatively you may want to invest in one of our cleaning kits or discover our cleaning range.
