13mm thick engineered flooring has grown in popularity over the last few years, not least because of leading brand Quick-Step, who offer much of their engineered wood flooring range in a 13mm thickness. You’ll be able to see many of these QuickStep products in the selection below.
A 13mm thick engineered floor has both style and substance, with a range of different colours, textures and finishes available, all built with the same multi-layer construction you’d expect of a quality engineered wood floor. However, as products in this range aren’t as thick as more premium engineered floors, they also come with a more budget-friendly price tag.
Depending on the thickness of the wear layer, you can sand 13mm flooring multiple times as and when required, however you shouldn’t need to do this for many years into the future, particularly if you take care of your floor. To ensure longevity, you should sweep, dry mop or vacuum on a regular basis to ensure the surface is free of dust, dirt and debris. For more difficult spillages or stains, then a well wrung out mop should do the trick.
