The grain is straight with very few knots which gives the floor a very clean appearance, meaning it’s ideal for rooms which you want to achieve a clean aesthetic in.

In terms of strength and durability, then ash is one of the strong yet more versatile hardwood options available. This makes it a great choice when it comes to engineered wood flooring as it is extremely hard wearing meaning it should last for years to come without the need for sanding and refinishing, even with high levels of foot traffic.

When it comes to maintenance, caring for your ash engineered hardwood flooring should be no different to any other species. Regular sweeping or dry-mopping will help ensure that your floor is free from dust, dirt and debris, with the occasional vacuum also proving effective for this task. If you need to mop the floor to deal with more stubborn spills, then the mop should be well wrung out before being used to ensure that no excess moisture seeps into the boards.
