The cleaner required can vary on the finish of the floor, the manufacturers usually recommend using their own products along with the flooring ordered. However there are other companies like Bona that offer a range of floor care products.
How do I maintain my wood floor?
It is important to keep your solid wood floor dry, as any water left on the surface will cause damage. You can also protect your floor from furniture with pads for the feet of sofas and chairs. Avoid warping from excess sunlight by drawing curtains on a very sunny day.
How should I store my solid wood flooring prior to fitting?
We recommends that all floors are acclimatised within their packs for 2 to 3 days in the room to be installed to allow the temperature of the floor to equalise with its environment ensuring job site conditions are met. This may vary manufacturer to manufacturer so we would suggest checking the supplier instructions.

How water resistant a floor is depends on the finish applied to a floor, for example a UV or lacquered finish is more water resistant than a natural oil. Our sales team are here to help if you require some advice on the right finish for you.
